I am an artist and theatre maker creating performance.
I am interested in live contracts made between audience and artist, the politics and poetry of being in and out of a theatre, the story and the comedy of a shared live moment.
As well as my own projects, I work with the Shunt theatre collective, of which I am a founder member, collaborate with other artists, companies, arts organisations and colleges.
My background is co- creating, devising and performing in Shunts shows- which include ‘Dance Bear Dance’, ‘Tropicana’ and most recently ‘The Boy who climbed out of his face’ -and co directing and creating Shunt art projects such as the platform project for artists: The Shunt Lounge. Alongside this work I have worked as a performer and actor for many companies including theatre makers Tim Crouch, Caroline Horton and contemporary artists Adam Broomberg and Oliver Chanarin.
Since 2011 Shunt artists have been creating more independent work as well as company projects.
‘Hannah Ringhams Free Show (bring money) with Glen Neath premiered in 2011 as part of Edinburgh The Brisish Council Showcase, ‘The Present’ and ‘Wedding’ followed and in 2015/ 2016 ‘Hello Oxford!’ toured as a Plays Out production for The Oxford Playhouse.
